All that’s stood between our nation and certain disaster during this pandemic is the NHS. The facilities paid for by the people, for the people – and the professionals who have worked hour after gruelling hour, delivering care in almost impossible circumstances. Often criticised as it navigates the gargantuan task of delivering quality healthcare that is free for everyone at the point of need, the true value and majesty of the NHS has never been more prominently on display.
Over the past 12 months we’ve been exhorted to do what we all can, as individuals, to support and protect the NHS by staying at home and taking other measures to play our part in stopping the spread of infection.
As a company, we have also been focused on what we can do to better support our hospitals, care homes, emergency services and all the people who work tirelessly to keep them operating.
While we all hope that the most acute phase of the pandemic will soon be behind us, we also know that the demands placed on these services in terms of infection control are only set to increase. Hygiene protocols that have been dramatically ramped up in response to SARS-CoV-2 are unlikely to ever be de-escalated, and this presents challenges around the speed, efficacy and convenience of decontamination methods.
We’re responding to these challenges with VIRONEX; a broad spectrum, continuous spray clinical disinfectant cleaner, designed for use in medical and other high-risk environments.
Simplifying clinical decontamination
Validated by six BS EN standards, VIRONEX delivers Log 5 reduction of gram positive and negative bacteria, enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, yeast, fungi and spores (inc. C.diff), killing 99.999% of pathogens in a single application, even in the presence of organic matter.
VIRONEX is ideal for enhanced cleaning and terminal decontamination in hospitals and care homes as well as many other public sector and emergency services settings. The liquid formula means Ramsol is also suitable for stage 1 cleaning including the removal of dirt, debris and spillages.
As with our Ramsol system, VIRONEX is completely portable; it requires no power supply or propellant, making it totally non-flammable and safe to use and store in any setting. There’s no high-tech application process and no complex machinery or moving parts that can let you down. Simply apply with the continuous spray applicator, and leave to dry for ten minutes – you don’t need to wipe down and there’s no lengthy exclusion period.
VIRONEX is free from alcohol and aldehydes making it suitable for use on all surfaces with no damage to electronics or vinyls and no toxic fumes. Low absorption on soft surfaces facilitates fast turnarounds on wards and in emergency vehicles. VIRONEX is also highly cost-effective – the simple system is a low-cost alternative to hydrogen peroxide vapour and UV disinfection that’s ready to use straight out of the box. It’s refillable for zero waste, with zero emissions in use.
IPC professionals -especially those working in the NHS – understand better than anyone that simple disinfection is sustainable disinfection and more than anything, this is what our health service needs as it moves into a post-pandemic era.
